UK VISA

The documents that are mandatory for a UK visa application::

• A valid passport is required for entry into the UK, with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of entry and at least two blank pages.

• All previous passports should be submitted.

• The online UK visa application form must be completed.

• An appointment confirmation is necessary.

• A recent photograph measuring 35 mm X 45 mm, taken against a white background, is required in both digital and hard copy formats.

• A bank statement from the last 6 months, with sufficient balance and attested, should be provided.

• Income Tax Returns/Form 16 for the past 3 years are necessary.

• A travel itinerary that explains the entire trip should be included.

• If employed, a leave sanctioned certificate, the last 3 months' salary slip, and a company visiting card are required.

• If self-employed, business registration proof, an updated company bank statement, company IT returns for the past 3 years, and a visiting card should be provided.

• If visiting family and friends, an invitation letter, a copy of the inviter's passport or resident permit, and address proof of the inviter are necessary.

• If a student, a school/college ID card is required.

• If a minor is traveling without parents, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from a parent and ID proof of the parents should be submitted.

• If retired, a pension statement is necessary.

• If sponsored, a sponsorship letter, sponsor ID proof, and an updated bank statement are required.

• For a business visa, an invitation letter from the host company and a covering letter from an Indian company should be provided.

• Supporting financial documents such as fixed deposits, share certificates, property investments, or any other investments are optional.

• Personal appearance at the Visa Application Center (VAC) is mandatory for biometrics and document submission.

Types of Visas

There are different types of UK visas based on their validity and entry types.

Processing Time: 10 to 15 days

Short-term (up to 6 months, single or multiple entry) 14,999/-

 

Longer-term (valid for up to 2 years) 49,999/-

 

Longer-term (valid for up to 5 years) 89,999/-

 

Longer-term (valid for up to 10 years) 109,999/-

 

When you might wait longer:

Your visa application may take longer to process if, for example:

• the information in your application is not accurate or requires further consideration

• you need to provide further evidence, for example evidence of funds

• your supporting documents need to be verified

• you need to attend an interview

• further information is required on your personal circumstances (for example if you have a criminal conviction)

• UKVI is experiencing increased visa demand
